Our school district uses the National Weather Service to guide our decisions about school closures or activity cancellations.
The transportation department and administration closely monitor the local weather and the forecasts throughout the day. Below is a list of media outlets that will carry emergency information. We will also have any changes posted on the district website and will institute our automated phone messaging system to get the information out to families as early as possible. Please make sure that the schools have any changes in your contact information as we head into winter storm season.
If parents or guardians feel it is unsafe for their children to attend school during inclement weather events, they may call the school office to excuse their child from school. Please know that we don’t make these decisions lightly and will continue to carefully monitor weather situations.
