Siuslaw Elementary School Personal Item Pick-up Information

When school was suddenly dismissed, most students left personal belongings in classrooms. Teachers are working to bag student items for a “drive-by” pick-up on May 6th, 7th and 8th.  All items will be gathered in the Siuslaw Elementary School breezeway (the bus pick-up area). Families can drive-up and school staff will locate the bag with your students’ belongings.

To maintain social distancing and to minimize time waiting in lines, we are organizing according to the chart below:

All remaining from 10:00-2:00

  • All school staff will be wearing masks, gloves and practicing social distancing.
  • Families do not need to exit their vehicles.
  • Any library books, completed learning packets or other items belonging to the school can be returned to school, as well.
  • Chrome Books issued for distancing learning DO NOT need to be returned at this time.
  • All items that were in lost and found have been laundered and placed in bags since the first days of school closure. Unfortunately, we are not able to return these items until social distancing requirements are lifted.

What if I have multiple students?

  • We will be able to return items for all students in a single trip. If your students have different last names, choose a single time from the chart above to claim belongings.

How do I return items that belong to the school?

  • Any library books, completed learning packets or other items belonging to the school can be returned to school, as well.
  • Chrome Books issued for distancing learning DO NOT need to be returned at this time.

How do I find items that may be in lost-and-found?

  • All items that were in lost and found have been laundered and placed in bags since the first days of school closure. Unfortunately, we are not able to return these items until social distancing requirements are lifted.
