Parents, Students and Staff: A lot of the Chromebooks are not getting logged off which is causing the devices to get behind in the software updates. This is fixed with the latest software update and from now on the devices will get a message to restart the Chromebook automatically.
For now, please log off of your Chromebook, Shutdown the Chromebook and then power it back on. This will apply the update that has already been downloaded to the device.

It is an annual tradition to honor America’s Veterans with an assembly here at Siuslaw High School. In this CDL environment, unfortunately, that assembly won’t be happening.
In honor of Veteran's Day Tuesday will be Patriotic Day. Dress up in your most American gear and show your patriotism and support for the Veterans of America.
Snap a selfie of you participating in Patriotic Day and submit it to the yearbook staff for possible submission in the book. Up to 10 students across the 4 grades will be awarded a Dutch Bros gift card for the best dressed. Show that Viking Spirit and American pride. Submit your photos to: siuslaw.yearbook@gmail.com

Conferences are coming! Reminding Siuslaw Families that conferences start tomorrow at 8am. We will be holding conferences this Thursday, October 15th from 8am to 8pm and Friday, October 16th from 8am to 12pm. If you have yet to sign up for conferences, it’s not too late. Please login to your ParentVUE account (not available via the app, but through a web browser) to sign up for conference times or call the office prior to 1pm today to save a spot. If you have already signed up for times, you will be receiving an invitation to a Zoom meeting, if you have not already. An announcement was recently sent out to help students and parents who need assistance getting Zoom set up on their Chromebooks. Also, Ms. Sneddon will be at the high school during conference times to help with any Chromebook issues or pick-up. Thank you and we looking forward to meeting with you!
