(coming soon)

Siuslaw School District compiled strategies and educational activities that families can use to keep students engaged in learning in the event of a school closure.

Remote learning activities are organized by grade level and contain a combination of low tech and technology-based options across multiple subject areas, including consideration for student physical and mental wellness. English Language Development (ELD) and Special Education options are also included.

Our goal is to provide a structure for at-home learning so families have some easy-to-implement activities to prevent regression and learning loss during an extended break.

Letter from Mr. Marohl

Dear SMS Students and Families,

Below you will find instructions for learning packets for each grade level, 6th-8th.

The teachers have been hard at work making every effort to put meaningful content together for you.  All students should have access to their  StudentVUE pages where all of this content can also be accessed.  Please do not hesitate to email Mr. Marohl ( amarohl@siuslaw.k12.or.us ) if you have trouble logging in, need an activation code for ParentVUE or a password reset.

Paper packets can also be picked up from the Middle School. If you cannot pick up a packet during those the scheduled time, please call the office at 541-997-8241.

We very much appreciate your patience and understanding during this incredibly difficult time for our community and country.

Educationally yours,

Andy Marohl, Principal
