Good day - Please see this message from the Internal Revenue Service regarding government savings accounts for persons under the age of 18 years old.
Each child under 18, is eligible to have a Trump account established for them if the child is (1) Under 18 years of age at the end of the Trump account election year, (2) Has been issued a valid Social Security Number, and (3) Be someone for whom no prior Trump account election has been made on their behalf.
This is an opportunity for every child to receive a jump start on their financial well-being with the help of your school. I would like to get the information out on the Trump account, and you would be a trusted partner in doing so.
These accounts are traditional individual retirement accounts (or IRAs) for children. Parents or guardians can now submit an IRS Form 4547, at any time to IRS, or with their 2025 tax returns (even if on extension). The IRS has put together the attached materials for you to share in/on your website, newsletter, social media with links and social media ready images. This flyer from the IRS, Jumpstarting the American Dream, has links to all of the relevant details to open an account for your child.
This link will take you to the IRS site with all information https://trumpaccounts.gov/
