We will be creating new art, working to finish projects, and learning about running an art business. We will have guest artists and other speakers talking to us about how they run and operate their art businesses and learn tricks to improve our creations. Siuslaw High School registration is next Tuesday through Thursday, August 22 through August 24, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Student schedules are now live in StudentVUE and ParentVue. Though these schedules are likely to change, this is your opportunity to review your schedule ahead of registration next week. We ask all students who are available to attend registration to come next week so we can accomplish the following important things: 1) Double check student enrollment information. Families can get a head start by enrolling online at tinyurl.com/SSDRegistration. 2) Review and request changes to your schedule. 3) Assign a locker for the school year. 4) Issue a Chromebook. 5) Issue a parking pass for personal vehicles that will be parked at school. The 1A Siuslaw Trap Team had 2 squads with 5 shooters in each squad totaling 10 shooters at the state competition in Hillsboro, Oregon, in the 1A and 2A division. Each squad shoots 2 times. They shoot 50 rounds each time they are up to shoot totaling 100 rounds shot for a total score. If you have 5 shooters qualify in same level that equals a team. We had 5 shooters qualify in Novice level and our team won 2nd place! Congratulations! Varsity members Wade Richmond & Dylan Wheeler are headed to Nationals in Mason Michigan to compete July 8th & 9th.
