A regular public meeting of the Siuslaw School District 97J Board of Directors will be held on March 8, 2023 at 6:30pm at the Siuslaw School District Office. The public is welcome to attend. An Special Meeting/Work-Session beginning at 5:30pm will start with an executive session. The executive session portion of the Special Meeting/Work-Session is closed to the public. The public will be welcomed in the meeting at the conclusion of the executive session. The regular meeting start time is 6:30pm. The Siuslaw Middle School Boys Basketball game at Riley Creek today has been CANCELLED due to the weather. There is no rescheduling at this time.
Siuslaw Middle School Track and Field is now open for registration. Sign up here https://www.familyid.com/siuslaw-middle-school. Practice will start March 13th after school.
Boys Basketball portraits will be this Wednesday, 1/25 after school. You should receive an email with a link to order portraits when they're ready.
Family Game Night is next week! We will have a nacho bar and loads of family games. Each game played earns a family raffle ticket and we're putting together some fun prizes! Family Game Night will be held Tuesday, February 7th from 5-7 p.m. Raffle prizes will be drawn at 6:45 (must be present to win). Come and join in some good ol' family fun. (This is aTitle I sponsored event).

Greetings Parents & Caregivers of Siuslaw students,
Registration is now OPEN for the Youth Accidental Overdose Prevention event! If you previously filled out the interest survey, you will receive a personalized link to complete your registration. The Center on Parenting and Opioids in partnership with Lane County Public Health, University of Oregon Substance Abuse Prevention & Education and other community partners will share resources and education awareness in Spanish and English to help Lane County parents, guardians, and youth feel confident in preventing accidental overdose among youth.
The event will occur in-person at Straub Hall at University of Oregon and virtually on November 17th, 5:45 - 7:30pm. A flyer is attached with more details about the event.
Here in Florence, we will live-stream the event at Siuslaw Middle School in the Commons; a Spanish language live-stream will be broadcast in the choir room.
