🔹 All volunteers must complete updated training before participating in any school-related activities.
🔹 This includes classroom help, field trips, events, clubs, and more.

Fall sports registration is open (football, volleyball, and cross country).

Football 7th/8th grade only, unlimited registration.
Volleyball 7th/8th grade only. 24 openings
Cross Country 7th/8th only. 22 girl registration spots and 22 boy registration spots.

SIUSLAW SCHOOL DISTRICT CELEBRATES SCHOOL BOARD RECOGNITION MONTH Siuslaw School District is joining 196 other school districts, 19 education service district boards, and 17 community college boards throughout Oregon to celebrate January as “School Board Recognition Month”. Celebrating School Board Recognition Month is one way to say thanks for all they do. These dedicated local leaders give their personal time and energy to handling the critical task of budgeting and overseeing the management of Oregon’s public education structure. Our board chair is Brian Lacouture, our vice chair is Maureen Miltenberger. Our directors are Dianna Pimlott, Kady Sneddon, Josh Haberly, Tamara Cole, and John Barnett. Our student representatives to the school board are Macali Lade and Seamus Burke. Siuslaw School District is making a special effort during January to show appreciation for our school board members and our student representatives to the school board, we recognize their contributions reflect a year-round effort on their part. They are dedicated individuals who are committed to improving student achievement and to fighting for the best for all of our students.

Reminder: Siuslaw School District will be having a Special Early Release on Friday, October 18th. The purpose for the early release is for all district professional development. School will release at 1:25. Students who walk, roll or get picked up from school are welcome to stay for lunch but may be excused at 12:40. Buses will begin pickup at 1:25.

Hello Siuslaw Families and Community, We are still looking for volunteers to help out at our middle school track meet this Wednesday (4/10). You don't need to know a lot about track and field, just willingness to help out in any capacity. Please email Coach Lade if you would like to volunteer for this event at mlade@siuslaw.k12.or.us. Good morning Siuslaw Families, As you've probably already hear, we are on a 3-hour delay this morning. Attached is our schedule for today. We will start the day with lunch from 11:25-12:00 and then rotate through our whole schedule with class periods all approximately 25 minutes. Siuslaw School District has two Budget Committee positions open for the school board budget process.  Positions 2 and 4 are open for appointment by the school board. Apply by September 11, 2023, by 5 p.m. The Budget Committee includes the Board of Directors and seven volunteer citizens who are appointed to serve 3-year terms. Committee members must be registered voters living within the boundaries of the Siuslaw School District and cannot be employees, officers, or agents of the district. Budget meetings will take place in April and May 2024. The school board will consider applications at the September 13, 2023 school board meeting. On-site school enrollment & registration is this Tuesday-Thursday at school buildings, from 9am to 3pm. Additional information on enrollment & registration is on the school websites on the School Enrollment Information page. Students in grades 6-12 that did not forecast for classes in the spring should see a school counselor to select elective classes. High school students can also select their locker and pick up their Chromebook. The2023-2024 Student School Year calendar is linked on the front page of each school website.

Siuslaw Middle School's office will be open next week for Enrollment for the 23-24 school year. We will have the office open Tuesday through Thursday, August 22nd - 24th from 9-3. All Siuslaw School District enrollment will be completed online this year. We will have Chromebooks available at the school along with help with enrollment.
