The wildfires across the western US have created a longer delay in the shipment of student Chromebooks.
The Siuslaw School District is requesting that middle and high school students use personal devices when possible for instruction from September 16 to 18; the first few days of school.
Students with no other devices for accessing the internet may check-out a Chromebook on September 14 and 15, but supplies are limited.
The remaining Chromebooks for the rest of the middle and high school students should be available beginning September 21. An updated distribution schedule for those that have not received a device will be out shortly.
Chomebook distribution for elementary school students has not been affected by this delay.
