PRESS RELEASE, August 30, 2021 - Recent concerns expressed by members of the public about late-breaking state directives have not gone unheard by the school board. The meeting scheduled for September 1, 2021, is postponed until a later date and time. Please be assured that the Siuslaw School Board of Directors will read and review all public commentary submitted by parents and patrons to 97j@siuslaw.k12.or.us.

While the Siuslaw School Board of Directors believes in the concept of local control, the Siuslaw District is bound to adhere to the laws of the state. In order to keep all students and staff safe and healthy, the administrative staff will implement mitigation control efforts from the guidance, under the direction of state and local public health officials.

In-person instruction is what is best for students. Maintaining in-person instruction for each and every student for the entire year is the goal of the Siuslaw School District.
