A public meeting of the Siuslaw School District 97J Board of Directors will be held on October 13, 2021 at 6:00pm at Siuslaw Middle School. The public is welcome to attend. Due to the coronavirus/COVID-19 state-wide restrictions, face masks are required and chairs will be spaced 6ft. apart to accommodate for physical distancing. Just a reminder that Siuslaw School District schools have early-release Fridays. Siuslaw Elementary School releases students at 1:45 p.m. Siuslaw Middle School and Siuslaw High School release students at 2:10 p.m.

I would like to introduce myself as the new Principal of Siuslaw Elementary School. My name is Amy Flora. I have lived and taught on the south coast my entire life and I am excited to be a part of the Siuslaw School District. I look forward to getting to know all of your students this year! As we begin this new school year here are a few reminders. 1. Students will get to enjoy on-site instruction from their teachers along with Music, Library and PE. 2. School supplies are being provided by the school district. 3. As a reminder students will be required to wear a mask inside schools and on the bus. No worries if a student needs a mask, the school can provide. 4. School hours are 8:30 to 3:00. Doors will open at 7:40 and supervision will be provided. 5. Friday's will be early release at 1:45. 6. Breakfasts and lunches are free for all students. 7. All students will enter the building through the front main doors to travel to their classrooms. 8. Drop off and pick up lines will be out front as traditionally done in the past. 9. Due to COVID safety protocols, unfortunately parents will not be able to walk students to their classrooms on the first day of school. Additional staff will be available to help students find their classrooms. 10. Please check with your child's teacher about bringing your student's Chromebook to school on the first day. 11. Please send your child to school with a water bottle. Our water filling stations will be available. 12. Boys & Girls Club will be open starting 9/8/21. Hours of operation are 3:00-5:30. For registration information, contact Sam at 541-999-8079. Please remember registration must be completed a week prior to attending. Today all student usernames that ended in siuslaw.k12.or.us have now been changed to siuslawschools.org. You will also notice that when you log in to your chromebook, the siuslawschools.org is already filled in. Moving forward you will only have to enter firstname.lastname and your password to log in to your Chromebook.
