​Project Grad Movie Night has moved from the stadium tot he Siuslaw High School gym.   The doors open at 7 and the movie starts at 7:30 p.m.
Calling all high school artists!  Starting in October we will be meeting on Mondays after school from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. in the art room.   We will be creating new art, working to finish projects, and learning about running an art business. We will have guest artists and other speakers talking to us about how they run and operate their art businesses and learn tricks to improve our creations. ​The "Color the Coast for Autism" Annual Autism Walk is Saturday, September 30 at Miller Park in Florence, Oregon. The fun starts at 10 a.m. and the walk begins at 11 a.m.  The walk is a fully accessible 1/2-mile loop, plus there will be community resource exhibitors, a bounce house, characters in costume, crafts, and more! The Siuslaw High School, Class of 2024, Senior Sunrise is Tuesday, September 5 at 6 a.m. at Hans Peterson Field. This event is only for Siuslaw High School seniors.
Calling all kindergarten students! ​  Please come by our elementary office to register no later than Wednesday, August 30. This has to be done in person at the school. ​Allies, LLC is hosting an Allies by the Sea Ice Cream Social Monday, August 21 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Cleawox Lake in Honeyman State Park (84505 Highway 101, Florence, OR 97439). Allies, LLC is an established provider agency that supports adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. ​Come celebrate our Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony honorary inductees​ Friday, August 11 beginning at 5 p.m. at the Florence Events Center. We are honoring Joseph Dotson (2015), Don Hunt (1971), Brandon Lockman (1999), Shelbey McClellan (2009), Allen McMullen (1973), Alexis Reavis (2010), Josh Thomas-Dotson (2003), and Brad Wilson (1976).   ​A no-host social hour begins at 5 p.m. a taco bar dinner at 6, followed by the induction ceremony. Fall sport programs include cheerleading, cross country, football, soccer (boys and girls), and volleyball. FamilyID is a secure registration platform that provides you with an easy, user-friendly way to register for our programs, and helps us to be more administratively efficient and environmentally responsible. When you register through FamilyID, the system keeps track of your information in your FamilyID profile. You enter your information only once for each family member for multiple uses and multiple programs.
The 1A Siuslaw Trap Team had 2 squads with 5 shooters in  each squad totaling 10 shooters at the state competition in Hillsboro, Oregon, in the 1A and 2A division.  Each squad shoots 2 times. They shoot 50 rounds each time they are up to shoot totaling 100 rounds shot for a total score. If you have 5 shooters qualify in same level that equals a team. We had 5 shooters qualify in Novice level and our team won 2nd place! Congratulations! Varsity members Wade Richmond & Dylan Wheeler are headed to Nationals in Mason Michigan to compete July 8th & 9th.
​Siuslaw student Dayne Muller was selected to participate in the July 2023 USA Wrestling Nationals in Fargo, North Dakota. He has a fundraising goal of $1,200.
