The teams will be returning to Florence this afternoon about 4 p.m. The bus will roll through Old Town on Bay Street then up Highway 101 to Siuslaw High School. Lane County Public Health will begin scheduling Covid-19 vaccinations for children ages 5 to 11 beginning tomorrow morning through their website at this link. All pediatric vaccinations are through scheduled appointments only - there are no walk-ins at this time. Siuslaw will be hosting a pediatric vaccine clinic on November 20th at Siuslaw Middle School - registration can be made through the Lane County Public Health website. A follow-up clinic for second doses will be scheduled for three weeks later.

A COVID-19 vaccination event is being held at Siuslaw Middle School on Saturday, October 9 from 1 to 3 p.m. All individuals in Oregon ages 12+ are eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. Doses available include the first and second doses of Pfizer and Moderna and the single dose Johnson and Johnson. Though walk-ins are welcome, appointments are available at www.lanecounty.org/vaxclinics. There is NO COST for COVID-19 vaccination. Siuslaw School District Special Education Department, will be destroying Special Education records of: Students whose special education services with Siuslaw School District ended prior to 6/15/2016 and who were born before 8/31/2000. (Records are required to be retained until the student reaches age 21 or 5 years after the conclusion of Special Ed services, whichever is longer as per OAR 166-400-0060) Students/Parents preferring to keep their records may arrange to pick them up by calling the Special Programs Department office at 541-997-2514 ext. 5444.
